Leave The Pedals on..
Teach her to keep her Knee's and Elbows WAY OUT!
This worked for me Teaching my 2 Kids and The Kid next door.
So,The Knee's and Elbows are VERY wide..almost Goofy Looking.
and you can get an Old Broom Handle,Hockey Stick,
and Slide it down from the Back in-between the Rear
Tire and The Bottom Bracket( near the Raer Stays )
The Stick will come out behind The Bike WAY UP.
Duct Tape it to The Seat Post!!!!
That, is YOUR Handle.You hold
It's so She can Balance with YOUR help.
after a while of Holding that Stick( it sticks out way up like a Huge sissy Bar )...
then you just let go when she's not looking and away she goes!!!!
Most time's They don't even know you aren't Jogging behind them,
holding the Stick anymore..
After about 2 hours of this,
let them Ride with that stick for a Few Days( it looks Goofy, but it helps them feel secure and able to ask for help )
Once they Ride a day or 2 they will DEMAND you take that goofy stick
out from behind their Bike
I would not teach her without her feet on The Pedals..
That's how she will figure out her Center of Gravity....
but instead...Elbows and knee's WIDE OUT!
Good Luck,
Their is nothing better than Teaching someone to Ride,
You have helped them discover The Freedom a Bike Brings you as a Kid!!!
Peace,
Kev.
