I'm on a dozen or so bike sites ( I caught your bike over on the BMX museum ) and this is the only one that I would let my kids on unsupervised. Sometimes imagination is not the strong suit on these sites and for whatever reason the maturity level isn't quite where it should be.
On this site a moderator is more like someone who chimes in with a positive compliment or just to toss out a joke, on many of the other sites they are more like hall monitors who have to separate unruly children. This site does it right.

In other forums, I'm not the most well liked person and I have even lit off on at least one guy here. I waited to see if anything would come of it, but nothing did.

This tells me that the powers-that-be agreed with my thoughts. I got no condemnation, thus furthering my commitment to be on my best behavior and not to abuse my mouth or people's ears.

This place is a tranquil pond with a lot of guys who can teach you some things.

I'm glad to be here, though I regret to inform you, my next build is going to hurt quite a few of your feelings!

At least I hope it does! Even if it doesn't, there will be someone here to pretend, for me. LOL!

This is a seriously cool site and only one of three, I even pay any attention to.

Thanks to everyone here.

Can't wait to see what it is. It would take a lot to hurt mine and I've survived a Mark 1 Raleigh Chopper hack!

I hear ya, man. No, I don't intend to cut up anything worthwhile. I'm a BMXer. We are pretty hard core when it comes to preservation.

I would never cut something important.

Back to the attitude topic.

RRB IS MY REASON TO LIVE!!!! Ok, not quite, but it always makes me smile! Especially when I'm too tired to think about picking up a wrench! This is like a "virtual garage"! -Adam

Planning to stretch a Redline Squareback?

I don't have any idea how many internet forums I have looked at, there are a few I peruse occasionally, but there is only 1 that I felt inclined to join. :)

Its a fun site ,because if you have 1 bike or 100 there is always someone with your same interest close at hand. I have found alot of ideas that I normally wouldn't have had, by not being here. It gives everybody a chance to share and evolve into whatever they can become. I know I feel like I have gotten a little better at building bikes than when I started. Its because of the encouragement and ideas from everybody. I personally appreciate all the members input.

I don't visit any other bike sites so I don't have any comparisons.
BUT
Most, if not all, contributors here have amazing creativity, everybody has an understanding of how much thought and effort go into each of the bikes that gets built here. It's really inspirational, that's what makes this site so special and such a friendly forum.

Yeah! How did you know?

Then I'm converting a Pro Star into a 16" pit bike.

Hey Ratrod, and everybody else, I'm still around, and watch RRB daily, even though I don't say much, I am a man of few words unless I start talking, I think Im about to talk. But, I do enjoy this ATTITUDE. I think its a more intelligent people who can speak without having to curse to get a point accross, and to accept the fact that everyone should have a right to their own opinion.
People may not like the bikes I build, but thats OK, because I build them for me, and the smiles and looks I get when I'm riding them is my reward. Sometimes I do read about people and their bikes that have a better than anyone else attitude, and let them think that, but most of the people on RRB, I believe, understand that here on RRB the bikes are all about the fun of building and riding unique bikes, no matter what the level of skill and creativeness of the builder.
The SHARING of ideas, the ENCOURAGEMENT to get involved , and the RESPECT to other builders makes RATRODBIKES.com the BEST.
Anytime I meet someone with an interest in bikes, I tell them about RATRODBIKE.com and about Coastersbicycleclub.com that is managed by RRB member aka_locojoe.
Its Spring and I gotta ride.
