Stop by and got the mail at the post office. And the grips for the Elgin had arrived.

was going to use the Springer Fork off of that Schwinn.
But, sticking with my original picture of what I wanted this build to be when I finish. & keeping the stock fork and truss rod.

I've been looking for one of these for my elgin. No luck so far.

Well we have a coat of flat black on truss Rod & brackets,
kickstand, backside of chain guard, and the underside and braces of the fenders.
Chain guard and rear fender had a few dings that I knocked out but didn't perfect; it's a Rat Rod build,, not a ...Restoration.

Also round of primer on fenders and chain guard.
Chain guard has a coat of white primer over the gray primer.
& the old bike plate on the rear fender was shot with a coat of flat black after gray primer. Then a coat of white primer misted over. And then a light coat of gloss yellow.
