This Great 1949 Schwinn girls bike Came in to a friends shop . I was going to part it out when later that night it came to me my 20th wedding anniversary is coming up in June. why not fix it up for the wife . So here goes The blue Diamond a mildly custom skip tooth 1949 Schwinn . Got it all stripped down and parts off to the chrome plating today.

both wheel hoops and handlebars have rust that is pretty bad and handlebars are scuffed pretty good going to save them to be repaired and rechromed later just can't afford to do it now with the other things I'm doing to the bike. Has to be finished before June 23

Got everything back from blasting and being chromed looks great . The new wheels handle bars pedals and headlight are in . Picked up the paint yesterday going with a nice blue and white paint scheme didn't have enough for the clear coat I wanted I will have to go back Monday

No got busy at work was supposed to be done tuesday hoping to finish this weekend . Also being slowed down by the fact that this my first time doing base coat clear coat and also my first two color paint job.
