Re: THE SATURDAY SPECIAL

plant to do it up in traditional rat colors (flat back, red, white) and traditional rat rod funds (my loose change jar). and im only working on it on saturdays

might do a tank insert and seat recover, but unless it cant be used as is, im plannin on keepin it on the bike.

1st step - cash in my change jar

Re: THE SATURDAY SPECIAL - change of plans

been thinkin... ive got lots of 20" muscle bikes to play with at the moment and i havent touched the typhoon since i got it, so she will be my victim this go round  i think ill be a little bit more excited to be workin on this bike. :D

Re: THE SATURDAY / BOBBACHOPS SPECIAL

.... i originally thought the bottom race was missing from the slop in the steering tube, bad news is ... the steer tube has been repaired, adding length ... and its not quite straight either, so now i get to look for a fork too

thats also probly why the stem had been replaced but the original bars / grips were still on the bike.

anybody got a 26" schwinn blade fork ???

on the up and up, the main stuff all looks good -> frame, guard, crank, wheels, tires and bars

time to get sanding and gathering some more parts

other than piant/materials just need some forks / grips / get a comfy seat. the rest is pretty much "in the bag"

Re: THE SATURDAY / BOBBACHOPS SPECIAL

I have a set off of a Collegiate...think theyre wide enough?
