The Air Bike......Well, that has taken a back seat to this project.
He is building a Cafe style Motorcycle with a sidecar for my Mom.
Here is the start. Sorry for the blurry picture. Raked, low, shortend...you get the idea :wink:

Well, it's in the history books now.
I regeared the mini for the 1/8th mile run this weekend at the Billetproof Drags and....
I actually wound up with the quickest mini of the day!
Here is a video my buddy Von Loppy shot of the first run, which ended up being the best run of the day.

how many teeth you running? (engine and rear sprocket)

any other engine mods?

The engine is a 6.5 harbor freight "clone"
Homeade header, high airflow air filter, rejetted the carb by drilling original jet a smidge bigger, bypassed the governor, billet flywheel ( I was told as far as safety it's a must have item) as far as gearing... 12 tooth front and 48 on back got me 48.5 in the 1/8th. I had a 44 on the back that got mid 50's at top end.
Check out oldminibikes.com, there is lots more info over there, and like here, they are really cool dudes.

Sidehack update.
Had a few minutes to tack the thing together, bolt her on and take a spin around the neighborhood.
Would you believe IT WORKED!!
I have a sheet of stainless to cut for the floor pan, maybe another hand hold and some paint and it'll be done.
Now to find the first victim. :mrgreen:

Here was a little diversion in last few months.
Brand new doodlebug on Craigslist, 225 bucks,
new Harbor Freight 6.5 motor, 80 bucks,
slicks 50 bucks,
and a homeade header, rejetted and a govenor by pass (free),
Watching people who ride it, twist the throttle then smile and laugh and say "your gonna kill yourself"......Priceless!
Less than 400 bucks and she'll fip you on your buttocks if you aint careful!!!
I do owe Ratrod a video of this, I didn't forget!

we'll also except any and all falling on your butt vid's of the little red monster.

i've worked on mine a little (waiting for tires and motor)
gonna call this one "the orange peeler" to go along with little miss b'have and malicous.
gonna give it a beat to heck, used up track bike persona.

one more bike, and i'll have enough to make my wacky racer vid in spring. (like the hanna barbara cartoon)

who am i kidding, by spring there should be 5 or 6 contestents.
