That's looking great. Inspired shifter placement, cool & creative front end (fork & light combo), and I love the home-made reflector under the seat. This build is really coming together.

Here's the post under construction . Modified Murray post to wedge style , added some 5/8 rod , with a seat clamp reinforcement . What happened next will be revealed at a later date :wink:

Thanx . I think I'm keeping the Apes . The seatpost is plenty strong now . Good eye on the guard , the shape of which is gonna be part of the theme ( more on that soon )

An all day rain killed my plans to strip the frame . That'll have to wait till next weekend .

not much else got done , spent the rest of the weekend working on other projects , like this killer 3 speed coaster w/ skiptooth & heavy duty spokes for VoyagerAl

and this seat & post for my Silver King

the seat is made up from parts of 5 different seats , with some comfy padding added & covered with an old jacket , along with a reflector made from some old sign cateyes and a piece of aluminum

Curious about the 3 speed skiptooth. Did you say you were putting this together for another member? That is just what I need- are you selling them? Love you build esp. the springer
