ive been getting a lot of 20' girls bikes lately, I usually will buy 1 or 2 for parts to fix up the nanner seat bikes. they tend to build up in my garage. so in my boredom, tonight I decided to go old school on some forks, and built this

I don't think I could even count on both hands the number of parts bikes I've dragged home with fork legs jammed on over the original fork legs. Dangerous stuff right there, but I did it when I was a kid. The last one I brought home had sheet metal screws run through to at least hold the legs in place in case one or both jarred loose somehow.

think I will start a build thread with this bike. switched frames to a old jc penny frame. and I definitely plan on reinforcing the forks.

Back in the day, I put together about FOUR pair of 26" forks together on a sting ray, with a 12" front rim. Totally unrideable! The forks swayed violently, as they started to curve back UP! -Adam
