You can use barkeepers friend and a 3m green pad with a little water or use Chromax and a 3m pad.
I've used oooo steelwool with chromax but I don't like it.
How ever you you do it use wax for a finish coat, it will help remove the steelwool and give you nice shine.

i use good old fashioned aluminum oxide paste chrome polish, if you scrub at rust, it cleans it up great! but i also use a brass brush to knock off stubborn and more extreme rust.
