This build is inspired by Hot Rod Girl
A killer Build Off bike from years ago

I'm having a hard time seeing how this'll look like a muscle bike, even with the banana seat, but that just makes me want to follow your build that much more! I've seen some build threads before where the starting point and the vision didn't make sense to me until near the finish line. I have a feeling this bike will be like some of those projects. It doesn't make sense to me at first, but that doesn't mean it won't make sense to me later! Good luck on your build! I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Thanks!!
That’s exactly what I love about this build.. “muscle bike? With that?” I hope you enjoy watching. I’m excited to see the end product also.
👍🏼

I like this sort of unexpected build. Potential for sure:wink1: I'm always surprised what people come up with, especially non-traditional.

Super excited about this build. Hope it turns out as cool as I hope.
thanks for watching

Will a bike spoke end fit into a moped hub without pulling thru?

Carl.

Have you got the levers and cables as well? I am looking for some old mopeds for parts, I am sure that there are a few stashed in the barns in my village.

Wish I did. Think I can make it all work with bike levers and cables.

Okay.. I’m trying to spend as little money as possible on this build. So I do have at least 72 12 G spokes. Going to need to cut and thread spokes for the front wheel. But I did lace up the rear. Spokes are the perfect length. Don’t worry the wheels will get disassembled and they hubs polished up before it’s all done. The rear looks so good the big hub and fat spokes look so tough. Bad photos don’t do it justice, I love how it’s all going to look.

Just to get a visual on how the front hub and wheel will look I “laced” up the front with spokes that are a little to long. Didn’t even lace all 36 spokes. Just wanted to see how the front hub will look.

Found a fork that will fit the 7/16 front axle with just a tiny bit of grinding of the dropout opening.
So far my ideas are coming together.
Thanks for looking LOTS more to come.

Shaping up nicely. 12g stand out. Cool hubs and seat pan.

Removing the anodize, wet sand with 600 - 1000 grit and hand polishing with any metal polish goes by quick with tunes playing in the background to match the rims. Any plan to paint the rims with Dupli Color Metalcast?
