I've got a mountain bike that I'd like to turn into a a single speed mountain rat of sorts. I'm thinking of going with a 24" single speed hub with a coaster brake. If I do that I'd probably grind off the brake bosses on the rear triangle. But is that going to leave me with a hole in those rear seat drop outs? Cause that would be bad.
I know the cable bosses sort of sit on top of the tubes and are easy to grind off but what about the brake bosses?
Any ideas?
