Running those wide rims ...did you have to use an offset crank for the chain not to hit the tire?

Yes, I use an offset sprocket... the offset is about 1cm...

Re: (no) Felt Cruiser "The Lucky 13" - something in the air

Only some small news on my project:

- the new frame didn't arrive yet...
- bought a Sachs Pentasport rearhub as a replacement for the Torpedo 3-speed-hub, because it isn't wide enough for the new frame...
- designed a vintage racing number plate that will be mounted on the fork:

As the frame does not arrive until mid next week, I'll show how it will look like:

The frame is a modded Smyster from pg-bikes

Re: "The Lucky 13" - new frame design revealed

Okay, some news:
Since my last post the grips, the Profile chain ring and the new stem arrived. I also rebuild the rear Wheel with the Pentasport hub.

But the best:
The frame arrived! BUT not at my home... It was send to a friend whos frame was send at the same time as mine. So I couldn't take a photo yet. But tomorrow I'll finally have it in my hands.

Re: "The Lucky 13" - h*** it's 'bout time!

Yes, sorry for the bad quality of the photo... Better ones will follow...

My plan is to get the bike done till end of next week... I'll start with sandpapering and primering tomorrow...

Re: "The Lucky 13" - looks like a bike again =)

Nice bike, actually both. I like that second frame. Are those 80mm rims? I was kinda curious how wide the tire was when mounted to the wide rims. Trying to decide 2.5 or 3" rims.
