Hello, My name is Howie, i work full time in a machine shop / job shop. I also do vinyl graphics for comercial vehicals on the side. i have recently got into the search for some crusty old bikes. My first was a early 70's 26" Murray, not much of a score, but it was free. Next was a 1948 Wards Hawthorne for $50, this bike is kind of rough, the back wheel & fender were backed over with some thing. Its all there, so a new wheel & fender, and we are good to go.
Finally what made me finally sign up, rather than just keep creepin' I just picked up a mens 1941 Firestone Super Cruiser. picked it up for FREE!!!! It does need a front wheel, light & rear rack. Then i did some research & found that this thing might be worth more than i thought. The grips, pedals & tires are wrong, but thats minor.
I tried to load a picture of the Super Cruiser, but dont know how. i will look into it & post it later.
Thanks for any input you may have
