This one is for the unsung heroes of mountain biking, the overseas bike makers. Everyone focuses all the love on boutique builders in small workshops, but the majority of riders were actually riding bikes made by anonymous workers in Taiwanese factories. For some reason, in spite of the fact that they've made thousands bikes by hand for every one a North American welder makes, their product is looked down upon. Brands like Norco were looked down upon compared to ones like Kona or Rocky Mountain. I'm here to prove that the name on the tube isn't important, and that you don't have to spend thousands to get a top quality bike

I like the Brodie fork as well
The fork actually is what gave me the idea for the theme. It got "pooh poohed" at another forum when I shared it. It was made after Paul sold the company, still used the name of one of his classic designs, but copied the style of his rival.

The comment set me back a bit, because it was a guy who I respected, his Canadian mtb collection is off the charts. However, it helped me move past trying to impress people with fancy stuff, to focus instead on building a bike to make ME happy

Dismissed as not being good enough. He called it "sad"
Glad you are posting it here!

Some people have tersonic polarity syndrome ( south park'ism 4u to look up).

I love RRB for always being supportive of most of the things I build.

Years ago when I did FB, I was in a group for vintage custom bikes and posted a pic of something I was working on and got so much crap for it, I told the admins to delete the thread entirely and then dropped outta the group completely when my content was gone.

Sadly this is to often the case and not just on Facebook. I have also left forums because of this.
I think it's envy. Envy of other people's abilities and ideas. It's usually people who don't achieve anything special themselves who hate in forums or make things look bad.
