Here is my bike. I was after a traditional hot rod theme but something different than the flat black and red rims Combination. I have always wanted a bike with red rims and white wall tires so I guess I got my goal. I also thought it would be cool to add some Buick Roadmaster influence and that is where the idea on the tank came from. I added a 54-55 Buick Roadmaster emblem and the 8 exhaust tips to symbolize the 8 cylinder engines that came in this car. I named the bike after the straight 8 engine that the Buicks came with. The checkerboard pattern was used because I love the look of checkers on old hot rods.
