Yes, stout it is. Felt's are built like tanks. Just out of the box it weighted 40 lbs.

That is cool. Was it difficult to make the "tank" into the gas tank?

It wasn't very hard, especially after reading how other people did. One thing that made it a lot easier for me, was buying a cheap bore scope at Harbor Freight. That allowed me to see what's going on back near the seat post. The front neck area is very easy to seal, plus Caswell tank sealer is the shizz. The next one will be even easier now that I have experience.
