My son and his friends jam an empty water bottle down between the tire and the brake bridge. Sounds about the same to me.

I used to use balloons tied to the frame or fender stay and wedged between the spokes. You can put a lot of them on and it gives a real cool sound. They don't last long though...lol

I remember buying a Muff-flo for my Evans bike back in 1963. It was a similar idea- long plastic tube that looked like a motorcycle muffler with a tab that clicked in the spokes. I've never seen another one.

I used to throw aluminum cans on the ground, and run them over. Gave it a much more metallic effect. Pretty much the same idea though.
