I totally recognise that look! I call it the ol hairy eyeball look! I had added a couple to the stable a few years ago w/o my wife being aware, she came in from the backyard with that look on her face and stated " It looks as though the bikes are breeding." I jumped up exitedly and in stride for the back door I asked " Are they purebred Schwinns! Or mongrel off-brands?" Didnt seem to remove the look however. Later & PEACE!!!

Man, thats a good one, we love pure breds, but love the mongrels too!

Rustymo,
You should remind her that it is smaller than the big dark red one you shipped down to Florida....
Does that account for anything????

That was a cool bike! I have enough parts to make this a decent bike. I will post some pics when it is finished :) As for the wife, she will put up with it because I told her to! "just kidding honey, I love you" Just incase she reads this. My couch is not very comfy

 because i told her to.. "well you can sleep on the couch, because i told you to.." nice save with the just kidding honey, i love you. i wish i was that smart with my girlfriend.

huh... huh... THATS THE LOOK. luckily my wife is so into her own computer hobbies that most my building antics slide thru under radar, but gentlemen... we all know that look.

anyways, that bike is totally rebuildable! a sea trails in that shape may be yard art, but thats an older schwinn. thats good stuff, brotha.

are there any documented cases of anyone actually surviving photographing the real "look"? I don't think so.

I'm still trying to justify to my wife this purchase,http://ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=11968&hilit=+chrismas I got it running it needs tires cosmetic work and registration and smog...."well how much is that gonna cost" then I hear the famous "but you told me it wasn't gonna take much to get it on the road" my defense, I am a man and yes we see things a little different, hopefully I will make some money at the swap meet.

that pic of the wife catches it perfectly, no words needed, however the acompanying words.....
my wife has seen several "freebies" first hand, so that old rusty stuff gets by with few questions
