They forgot some: flat black, red wheels, whitewalls, or for other forums, shocks, bar ends, oryg, track cog, spoke card, hipster pants.

Thanks someguy, I just thought it would be helpful. and Youthguy, it's never a complete list, I mean where is the patina, Beer rack, beer holder, red oxide primer, and cowbell?

They labeled the water bottle. haha. Where did this come from "Bikes for Dummies"?
Actually yahoo image search, I was trying to get inspiration for bikes and typed custom bicycle pics and this popped up. Come to think of it that's how i stumbled onto this site. Glad i did.

I want to add that a CHAIN RING is on a multi speed 3 piece crank and a SPROCKET is on a 1 piece crank.

Yeah; "sprockets" are AKA chainwheels.

As for the original pic, I'd like to say that it's a "saddle" instead of "seat", and that it's a "top tube" instead of a "crossbar". Still, a rather helpful diagram for the newb.

i think this is a helpful picture, how many times have you tried to help a newbe fix there "thingy" or "hickey" without seeing it? you could be talking about 2 different things and not realize it.

I am just glad that the illustration does not show "Hoops" or a "Gooseneck".
