Thoughts on riding long distance. Well, 20 miles.

A guy I know does triathlons, on Saturday mornings he rides 100 miles. He rides to work when the job is close enough. He bought a target mongoose to ride to work because the ride was too easy on the race bike.
I wish I could ride a bike to work, it's just really possible for me. We have a job coming up that would be close enough and has no parking. if I wind up on it I'm going to try to ride a bike there.

I too have a friend that was a triathelite, damn good one as well. That crazy kook rode over 60 miles a day on top of running and swimming and having a full time job. No wonder his marrilge didn't last. I was an avid mountain bike rider and when I would ride with him it was a joke. I would be huffing and puffing and that guy would just ride up the hills talking, laughing like he was riding to the coffee shop or something. And these were 2500ft inclines. Don't know how they do it.
