threadless fork

has anyone ever used a fork like this?

I was told I could use a normal stem since the top and bottom plates hold the
bearings together but I wondered if I should use a threadless stem that clamps to the tube its my first time messing with this new fangled type of bike stuff lol
 
I just put one on my trike that I posted in RBBO section. I changed out the headset and will be using a threadless stem (clamp style). It was a very easy conversion...Kelly
 
I have used that set of forks a few times on the bikes I've built. If those are the same as the 1.5'' dia. leg like on the WCC bike, they're nice. Only drawback is no disc brake tab.

have you ever used a normal stem with one? or always a threadless stem
 
if you use a threadless fork you have to use a threatless stem. simple as that
