PLEASE HELP!

5L75Ib5Hc3K93Id3N8c45cc3ef5d3d4c214cd.jpg

All of that fine white detail against the blue paint is now gone!!!!

I sent it to this bike shop down the street from me to have them clean it up and for some reason they painted over everything! I was so ....... pissed! They gave me what I paid for it and my bike back. It took me 2 days to remove the top layer of blue metallic spray paint and in the process, most of the white detail on the tank faded. I want to restore the white.

How can I paint it white without it looking too fresh?

PLEEEASE HELP!

Thanks.

So they interpreted 'clean it up' into 'heh, its easier to just paint it' ?
Maybe you need to tell 'em that they get to pay to restore it to its previous original 'like' condition (even though it will no longer be original).

Take the tank to your local sign shop. They should be able to make a vinyl cut stencil that you can use to repaint the graphics. If you still want them "aged" after you have painted just gently buff them with some buffing compound until you get the desired wear. If that doesn't wear it down switch to a green scotchbrite pad or some 0000 steel wool.
