With this being my first build posted on this great site I will try to keep it pretty well documented. So, here is a huffy cruiser I picked up for $80 several years back. Stripped the paint and switched to the springer fork and 144 spoke wheels a year ago and it's been sitting since...

Could've just left it be, but it had more potential.

1/4 in twine wrapped forks and seat tube (thanks to some previous builders for this idea).

Mock up wood tank.

Mock up wood skirts. I have decided to go a different direction than the wood, but it lets me visualize.

Sage Green (photo looks kinda flat, but it's fairly glossy and looks great). And hole in the downtube from when I had a 50cc motor mounted on it awhile ago. I'll cover that with something later.

Some cork, burlap, and coat hangers are next on the agenda...

I'll definately be watchin', I have a Huffy cruiser that is on a backburner to be Tikified.
love the color.

So, it took me awhile to get these new-ish pics up, but here is some more progress...

Roll of cork and a razor blade, with some SHAG inspiration for the design.

Head badge and seat tube work.

Almost there, more to come...
