We look like we are having a nice ride together. We probably stopped off for a two martini lunch at the club and then played tennis with our wives.

I might have to look up the serial number then. as I said the hub says 67, but I've not done the research on the number.

I am pretty sure it should have a blue S seat. My '66 Deluxe Racer has the S seat and my single speed '67 also had an S seat before I took it off because it was torn.

This is the original seat to my '66 Deluxe:

I'm writing my eBay ad now. wish me luck!

Sold! It's disassembled. I grabbed a little bubble wrap from work. Will get some foam pipe insulation from HD on the way home. I need to make a block for the drop outs. Then I'll box her all up and get a shipping price for the gentleman.

Packed and shipped. The gentleman seems quite happy. Overall a very good transaction. I hope he emails when he gets to riding it. I hope he likes it as much as I do.

While you're looking for tires, don't go hungry. Make up a batch of spam cakes, a favorite of mine from my single days. Slice up the whole can of spam, and fry it in a pan. Keep the slices 4 inches apart and flip them over when browned. Then pour a pancake over each spam slice. The pancake and slice will brown at the same time. Then serve them up with butter and syrup.

I somehow missed this post. That sounds good!! Sort of like how I've had scrapple which I was introduced to about a year ago by a bud from Maryland. hard to describe what that is exactly, but it is good.

Looks great, inspires me to actually clean my Schwinn. Looking at an older Schwinn and looking at a new bike is a world apart, the Schwinn is built with such quality and attention to detail. That's hard to find in these new Chinese bikes.....
Guess my grandpa was right "They don't build 'em like they used to".........
