I needed to straighten my front rim a little.

Somewhat successful. No pics of that, my battery died.

While I was at it, I thought I would service my front axle since it was pretty crunchy.
Ended up making a new axle as the old one was bent.

Made the new one a little longer, because truss rods.

I bought a 3 ft length of this B7 rod from Fastenal a while back. Basically chromoly. I have made several 5/16" axles out of it.

Gonna need new balls.

Scavenged some 1/4" balls out of another hub.

Got the front rim fairly straight.

Skipped over to the rear Morrow hub. I need a 1/2" pitch sprocket on the rear, so I swapped drivers with another Morrow hub I have.

The teeth on the 1/2" pitch sprocket are hooked a little, may see if I can find a replacement in better shape.

Nope. What do the corrugations line up with? If they were running at an angle parallel to the head tube / seat tube it would flow and line up nice. I like you've got the top and bottom for a nice dimensional look but won't the top piece fight curving with the corrugations in it? Hope it works, looks like the frame tubing should run right with the corrugations.

Carl.

That tin roof tank should look good installed!
