Most of the bikes I have had the tires are worn out but you can still read what size they are. The bike I got yesterday the tires are so bad you can't see the size, I'm sure this is not a problem but what I wanted know is how do you figure out the size measure the wheel. I know this is a dumb question but if you don't know I have to ask. Thank's

I'd start by measuring the diameter of the bead seat on the wheel. You can probably get away with measuring across the edges of the rim, then subtract the difference down from the edge to the seat.

I know about the pictures, It is a adult bike tires that are on there now are old whites they look like 26 inch. I will work on the pictures, can't move around much with this cast on my leg,two more weeks. Sorry about no pictures.
There's at least six different vintage sizes that are "about 26 inches", and none of them are compatible with each other.... and it's probably not the usual 26-inch-MTB size (559mm ISO size) either, which is yet another different size. This is why there is all the questioning for pictures or bicycle info....

If you can't get pictures posted, take the bike to a bike shop and ask if they can ID what size wheels and tires it has. They may charge you a bit for the trouble, but ONLY the correct size tires will fit right.
