These are all 26" ladies' bikes (aka stepthrough frames) I have fixed up in the past, then sold/gifted/traded.
A schwinn starlet that came in a pile of bikes acquired from an overgrown backyard (before):
After my magic touch:
<p>
This was a rusty missle:
Odds N Ends and a few cans of blue spray paint yield this:
Why you should never buy a bike at night part 1: This seemed like a good deal until I got it home and noticed the frame was tweaked beyond repair.. 15 minutes I had a pile of donor parts for another project.
Why you should never buy a bike at night part 2: This seemed like a good deal until I got it home and noticed the bike was a skiptooth and the crank housing was cracked. fixed the crack then sold the bike (for a decent mark up though)
My ugly duckling to swan bike: this -was- a rusty goner found on the street during community clean-up day. The brand was 'seiger' and appeared to be some European design. A can of WD-40, 1 bottle of CLR and a barrel of elbow grease liberated all the parts, and selective rattle can paint, a new seat, and white tires made her pop.
Note: I always intend to take 'before' and 'as found' pix, but by the time I get home, I'm fired up about the project, and 30 minutes later, the parts are everywhere.
