to klunk or not to klunk that is the question

ok guys i need some advice i recently acquired this very clean Schwinn heavy duti where it is very clean and solid it is a 1972( serial number on lower left head tube begins with ch= march 1972 according to the Schwinn serial number listing member wildcat linked to me) so with that being said i needed to know how you fellow rrbers would feel if i turned this into a klunker? it is very original right down to the tires and the chrome really shines up nicely however it is only a 1972 so not very old
so you see my dilemma keep it as is and enjoy it or klunk it and remove all the nice chrome if i do klunk it the wheels will be used but that about all i will change everything else out so you guys decide for me since i am ok either way if majority thinks i should klunk it then kiuunker it will be if not i will keep it as is

I'd try to keep the bike og for another 20 years, then we will see I mean of course i am always up for customizing, but that one looks so great as it is.

There are plenty of frame-onlys and hodge-podge bikes out there to become klunkers. This bike is only going to OG once.
