Today's ride ... er ..crash .... again ???

Took my Monark built Spiegal Airman I got from A.S.BOLTNUT out for a shakedown ride today to try the kickback out

the single spring is weak and the tire was rubbingthe fender, near the end of the ride I came off a curb , and the fender stopped the tire :shock: and over the bars I went

when it first happened my knee was sore . now a couple of hours later my wrists are sore

I been out of work since december with nerve damage to my leg.
Getting better now though, thanx to physical therapy and meds. :lol:

Today's ride ... epic crash

I was really starting to like this bike again . I changed some stuff in the spring to get more travel , and rode it on the easy trails a few times , OK . Last week I made some cosmetic changes , and rode it 16 miles on our Franklin trip last Sunday . Took it out today and was coming down hill a bit and veered across some grass for a shortcut . I saw the hole , but before I could even be scared , I was eating dirt . Gonna have to do more suspension work before I attempt to ride this again :? The thing that bums me out the most ( besides the pain I'll feel tomorrow ) is the chrome chipped on the original Monark goose neck , and they're so hard to find with good chrome
