Triple Tree Fork Caps?

I have a set of triple tree forks and need ideas for simple caps/inserts. I've considered star nuts with traditional caps, but I'm looking for something even more simple. I'm thinking some type of press to fit insert. Anyone have any examples that you can point in my direction?

I would suggest a star nut and cap for a threadless headset. It would need to be for about a 1-1/4" = 32.0 as the 1-1/8" = 28.6 headset would be too small unless you sleeved it.

I buy those steel hole plugs that Deorman linked to at my local hardware store, and often just use them for that.

I would like to suggest having fun with fork plugs. One of the builds I am working is going to have oil fill caps from a motorcycle. You can make a ton of choices. There is a thread on here called something like: "Show me your cool little details."

plugs for electrical junction boxes work great and come in a bunch of sizes..
