Trouble finding the yr

After searching and searching i'm stumped and could use help.Its not much but its mine and found at a thrift store for $8.00.Not much remains of the head badge but you can make out 'Firestone.Also how do you determine the manfacturer.
Still unsure where to go with it in regards to building it up.so far I have had it sand blasted and the rear hub and wheels rebuilt.
Any suggestions?Been looking thru the site for over 4 hours,It's great!

Judging by the chain ring, I would say it is Columbia built. Post up the serial number and there are guys on here that can nail it down for you.
