trunk bike racks

Alright, so I'm in desperate need of one, and found one on good ol'craigslist today BUT I have a small rear spoiler on my car.
Does anyone know if a Hollywood Baja Rack would fit on an Oldsmobile Alero with a small rear spoiler?
I'm going to meet up with the person tomorrow to try it out but I don't want to waste anyones time if I can figure out an answer tonight.

You could get a small trailer hitch and get a bike rack that mounts in that.

i really can't afford one of those rightnow, i was looking at them today at cabelas and they cost more than i want to spend, i'd rather put that money towards a new tires and handle bars for my new bikes :lol:
this rack is practically brand new and she's only asking $30 for it and it holds 3 bikes.
i googled the rack and it says it will fit over most small spoilers/wings and mines just a really tiny factory spoiler so I think i'm just going to meet up with her tomorrow and cross my fingers and hope it works.
i just wanted to know if anyone had this particular rack and knows for sure if it will fit over a spoiler.

I use a Saris Bones rack....best trunk rack on the market in my opinion.

The design is really nice and they are rock solid when attached to your car.

I've seen them sell for $50-$75 on the CL lately.

I paid $75 for mine last year and it holds 3 bikes.

haha, i hate the spoiler on my car BUT the rack does work perfect.
so as soon as the weather clears up i'm taking my bikes to white rock lake and enjoying the scenery.

You could get one from Wal-Mart, but I wouldn't advise it. I needed one for a trip (of course I waited until the last moment to buy), mounted it up, dropped a couple of bikes on it, and it put two dents in the top of my trunk lid. Needless to say I was not happy and the company wouldn't do anything about the damage to my car. I was worried about damage to by bicycles and never thought about damage to my car. Needless to say, If you're going to get one you're ahead to invest a little money and get a good rack IMHO.

The Sarris Bones is good. BUt a good roof rack is better. I had the Bones on my car for a week. It did well but it would bounce around a bit and I couldn't see myself taking the time to pull it off and put it on everytime I wanted to transport my bikes. BUt with that being said, it will fit over your spoiler. Just make sure your car has a protruding bumper that the bottom legs can rest on.
