I bought this off craigslist. After looking at the photos, it was fairly apparent to me that the cog was only spotwelded to the hubshell. I decided I could separate them by gently grinding off the spotwelds, tapping the cog off and doing a little filework afterward. It was a success. It even had antisieze between the cog and the hubshell so the hub polished right up. Now I have a cheap, brand new (seriously, it was never used) AWC hub. Nice! The best part is it took me about 15 minutes total to do the whole job.
