Here's a 5-speed of about the same vintage. I've never known these bikes to wear a chainguard other than the one pictured, but I could be wrong. I gotta wonder how this bike gets the BMA/6 sticker, yet still sports the crotch-busting console shifter.

I stand corrected! Here's a link to the late model Huffy-built bike--the Screamer Gremlin. That's the one you have...no doubt about it.

Guard looks very similar the the "flaming stack" used on other Huffy muscle bikes, but minus the tailpipe section. GOOD LUCK finding two of those.

If you look at the Gremlin frame you can see the steering tube is slightly more raked back. I have seen a custom Gremlin with a Slingshot fork on it. It looked really cool.
Cool Score on both of them together. The guards will pop up. Just have to wait it out and have cash in hand...lol

Couple of parts off this bike might help out.

I hope you have deep pockets!

My buddy went half and half on a muscle bike collection and in it was a girls Sears Gremlin that has the same lime and black seat on the twins. My buddy ended up with this bike and cleaned it up quite a bit. Bought the flaming insert from Crash. Rare bike. Pretty decent condition.

A couple of weeks a boys Sears Gremlin came up for sale. I though it was a pos but someone bid it up to 600.

Parts for these bikes add gonna be hard to find and expensive!

I have faith someone on here has the guards and would sell them at a fair price just because the want to see these bikes as they should be. because we all know it's not always about the money, but the love of the sport.

Looks like a different last digit from this pics...
That or ones a fake.... LOL!

Carl.
