Typhoons are one of my favorites, plenty of them and there relatively cheap so no one loses it when you customize them. Usually just bars for me and go. The black one has a 2 speed automatic hub. The green one is 20 inch and all decked out like a Stingray. I have built a few into 26 inch Stingray's with banana seat and all.

Thanks Buddy! Yard sale score...well, minus the wheelset on it now...
I think it's because it's so rare that people don't know how rare, if that makes sense. When they do show up, it's often a story like this

After years of thinking abotu building up a Typhoon frame, I saw one sitting on the side fo the road while on my way to dinner one night. It was still there when I went by again so I took it as a sign and decided to finally do it.

Here's what I started with

I bought a fork and chainguard for way too much money right after getting the frame becase they matched the color and condition.

And then I decided not to use them.

It went thorugh a lot of iterations as it was being put togther but I finally ended up with a two speed bendix hub (I bought an old Breeze just for the hub) and a mountain bike fork. Now all there is left to do is ride it.
