My first custom build. Schwinn Phantom vintage and reproduction parts. Nexus 7 speed wheelset, custom paint.

Build #3, a Macargi Falcon. Custom paint, smoothed welds, Nexus 4 speed wheelset. Sold this to a guy by Cleveland, OH several years ago. One I wish I'd kept.

Big Blue, a hodge podge of miscellaneous parts. Nexus 7 speed wheel set. This is the first rendition of the build.

Big Blue and Little Blue, my daughter's Re-issue Sting Ray

The "Garbage Picker". A late model Huffy pulled from the trash. Rebuilt, custom paint, Nexus 3 speed wheel set. Built this with and for one of my boys.

The "Radar O'Reilly" began it's life as a new, straight out of the box, Fito Modena alloy 3 speed Nexus cruiser in flat black.

When I build a bike this way, I try to get one that has as many parts as possible that will not need replacing.


Schwinn style aftermarket springer and rims disassembled and painted to match.
Custom vinyl graphics throughout. (Graphic design is how I make my bread & butter)

Took the Radar O'Reilly to a World War II event held downtown. Couldn't miss the photo op in the bivouac area.
