I'm using a frame that my Uncle Paul built from scratch.

As you all know this is the design that he used an old Colson frame as a template...and stretched it.

He used 3/4 schedule 40 pipe for the main frame, 5/8 schedule 40 pipe for the chain stay and
5/8 solid rod for the back top part. Basic translation...this bike is seriously solid.

I'll be using a 7 speed Nexus coaster brake hub out back.

Last weekend while it was warm I managed to get a few coats of paint on the frame, but they
were light coats and I missed a few spots. Not sure if I'm crazy about the color scheme, but I
figured I'd give it a try. I may have to add some cream colored scallops or something.

I may also just paint it satin black and add some cream accents.

The weather turned lousy this weekend and it has been cold and rainy.

I did get my Nexus 7 speed rear wheel back from the LBS. They charged me $30 to give the hub
an overhaul. Basically cleaned and lubed it. Apparently it was bone dry inside and had some rust.

Tried to go with a color that matched the pinstriping on the wheels.

I threw the cheapo fork on there just to see what the wheel set looks like for now. I plan on
using one of the Monarch springers that Chain Gang is selling.

That looks great Steve, nice color combo. Would a 26x3 fit that frame?...Kelly

Okay...scratch the maroon color scheme on the frame...gonna go with black and cream instead.

I know I went about this the wrong way by not painting the cream first, but...

I'm staring to see a trend in my garage.

I see a trend also. It is as clean as your bikes and cars :D . The black with cream accents will look good.

Got my springer from Chain Gang on Saturday.

Threw it on there real quick to see how it would look.

Still need to get a bottom bearing race and a headset.

Ok you got babies and a job...It only took "God" six days to build the world. :D :D :D :D

Uhhh yeah....a slight creative power advantage I would say.

Trust me, if I could speak this bike into existence I would.

Thanks to Adam, I'll be putting some slow, tedious work into it.

P.S. You're dealing with a perfectionist here...ha ha!
