I'll be bringing this home on Sunday. The headbadge is missing, has a lugged frame and has a older trike conversion kit on it. The serial numbers are on the bottom of the crank but I cant read them through the layers of paint. It looks to have been a multi-speed bike from the small sprocket and free spinning one in the rear w/ no brakes. I'm pretty sure the handlebars are off a kid's bike too. Any ideas??

I bet it is a Phillips (made by Raleigh). It looks like the headbadge holes would line up and the chainring looks like some Phillips that I found googling around.

Got it home last night and disassebled it. Cleaned iff the serial number and found: S9 4 735

The rear frame seperates too......unlesss thats part of the trike conversion.

I found a site that had Raleigh serial number info so I don't know if it will be correct, but if it does, and IF i'm understanding it right, this thing is a 1933 model ??

Raleigh Bicycles 1925-Second War
--------------------------------
Between 1925 and the cessation of cycle production during the
Second World War, letters prefixed or suffixed the running
frame number although no indication is given of the starting
point of the numbers. They seem to reflect only the
number of machines produced whilst each letter was in use.
All dating would therefore be approximate.
