I never do this right. I know I should take and post pics throughout a build but let's face it, there wasn't much building happening here. I saw this frame on Craigs for next to nothing so I went and scooped it up. Came with forks, handlebars, a rusted out sissy bar and seat. Also had a seized crank-ring and a chain rusted so thick it could of been used as a tire iron! I soaked everything in PB Blaster for a couple days and then disassembled what was there. Replaced the bearings throughout, installed a new sissy bar and seat and added the wheels and chain-ring you see. Left the frame, fork and bars untouched and here I have my new kicking around bike. I should add some sort of brakes but I have had a blast riding this thing through the neighborhood. Any idea what the frame is or how I can identify it? I haven't found any numbers on it anywhere but it may be under the several different layers of paint and rust....

I'm sure some muscle bike guy can tell you what it is, it looks familiar.

I love what you've done with it, that right there is Rat Rod Bike of the day material!

For sure a Murray made bike, could be Hiawatha (Gambles). I believe there are several other rebadged Murray brands out there as well. Check the left rear drop out for a number, it may be very faint. Even after stripping all the paint off of mine it was very hard to read. For reference here is a pic of my Hiawatha Cycovator.

Plank!
Dude, you nailed it!!
I love what you've done with this one!
The best kind of bikes ( in my opinion ) are the non-trailer queen , original paint ( or older patina'd repaint ) left alone , low buck , thrown together , AND RIDE THE HECK OUTTA THEM!! 8)

I agree with yooth... " BIKE OF THE DAY!! "
