unknown "Performer" cruiser

I got this pile in a trade. I have plans for it. So far Ive just put on a different sprocket and aired up the tires. Rides great! Suggestions welcome.

anyone here ever heard of a "Performer" beach cruiser?

My only suggestion would be to search the site,when you find a bike you like save the pic to a folder and then you can refer back easy..

70s Huffy, either late USA production or early Taiwan. Someone here can tell you how to read the date in the serial #, I don't recall off-hand. :|

thanks for the replies. As of now, Im planning on painting the entire frame and fork with black truck bed liner.

serial is: C 80841

new fork (holds the other front wheel, so I wont have to modify the dropout of the original fork)
different stem
different bars
Brooks B72
some grips I had laying around
(I also put on that "bracket" for a truss rod that Ive got but I dont think its gonna be tall enough, so I'll be removing that)

Still needs: paint, new whitewalls Ive got, new grease in BB and headset.
