Looking forward to a video tour of the new workshop when you are settled in.
So no more Back40 videos?!?Well, the past 3 weeks have been seen a lot of progress for ol' OddJob and Mrs Job. (somebody on here referred to her like that years ago, I still laugh when I think of it ) Not on a ORBO build bike, as I knew our house sale, search for a new abode, and all the paperwork would take most of my hours. In typical OJ speed, we managed to sell our house to the first full offer on the second day on the market, narrow our top 10 options down to 5 and tour those, put in an accepted offer on our first choice, and secure a contract!
I am enjoying the many and varied builds this WBO, so keep those posts coming! And hopefully next winter we will be settled enough and have many of the 'upgrades' done on the new-to-us house that I can jump in with an ORBO build of my own. It does have an extra-length garage, Mrs Job thinks it will be perfect for that golf cart she has been jonesing for. Yeah, riiiiighhhht!
The BACK40 will live on. This is our winter home in the Southwest that I am referring to. The north country will always be our main stomping grounds! So no more Back40 videos?!?
(Who needs a garage for a golf cart? A tarp will do. There's more important things...)
Maybe you should initiate a corresponding SW40? Congrats on the new digs! The BACK40 will live on. This is our winter home in the Southwest that I am referring to. The north country will always be our main stomping grounds!
It's already been done! Way back in 0-17 ( aught - seventeen) when we first started coming down here and had a condo. Took about a month before Mrs Job said, "That guest room has a lot of bikes in it." And the tools were in the closet!Maybe you should initiate a corresponding SW40? Congrats on the new digs!
I don't believe you need to think about your next build at all! Sounds to me like you have a plan with a purpose!I have little excuse for not building, except that I don’t need a new bike & I should sell some of the old ones.
I need to think long and hard about what I want to build next because (once the project car is going again) I was intent on building an electric trike for neighborhood grocery shopping.
It’s only 2000 feet from my door to the Savemart door and only 4000 feet to the Walmart. In between I got an Ace hardware, the department of motor vehicles, six restaurants, and two gas stations. Also smoke shop, liquor store, doctors office, optometrist, and veterinarians office, podiatrist office, dentist, credit union and pharmacy.
I could get to any of these places and back with a load of groceries and my wife, using two ordinary lead acid RV batteries. Already have two batteries and three DC electric motors. My neighbor’s got two more and he owes me money. This thing could have five motors and not use a controller at all. Just switch them in one at a time.
That’s a mile and a half max round-trip, and I only have to cross one real busy street.
