I wanted to keep my first build simple yet clean so I went with a purely black and white theme. The title of the build literally means Black and White Bicycle in French. I started with a black 1956 CWC Roadmaster frame and later purchased an older CWC springer front end and had a fellow RRB member do a little restoration project on it, it turned out great. Added some black coaster set wheels with 26x1.95 white tires, Wahl bearing sets and sprocket, KMC chain, white leather Troxel seat and old handlebars/grips from a Spaceliner. I didn't take many pictures along the way but I had an absolute blast during the build and still ride it quite often during this Florida winter weather. I may change out the stem because it is so bulky and sticks up too high but it is definitely comfortable for riding. Thoughts/opinions ... I'm all ears

Pile o' parts

Final product .... pretty happy with my first ever build.

Looks awesome! You are right, the stem looks a bit odd being so tall, but if you wanted to keep it that high rather than changing it out, maybe you could mount a headlight in front of it? Would smooth the look a little imo...

Luke.

I see what they say about the stem, but I like it.
Maybe trying some art on it or fake patina, making it look vintage... and definitely removing the shiny new look of those front bolts on it.
