Has anyone rode the Virginia "Creeper Trail"? We are wanting to go next month. It is an old railroad bed made into a trail with lots of trestles too. Looks like a lot of fun!

We were contemplating riding that trail while out that way last week but went to the beach to ride instead. We'll go back to ride it some day.
Don't know if you've ever ridden a rail-to-trail before but I can't praise them enough. Especially if they have old trestles.

The key to riding those trails is that the rail bed was graded for trains when constructed and there are no steep hills. When they stared coverting abandoned rail beds to trails around here the landowners with property adjacent to the rail bed went wild. They fought but lost in most cases. Gary
