Just a crazy sustainable bamboo frame...just different, wish I could claim fame as the frame builder. When I finally popped on it at VeloSwap my non-cycling son proudly carried it around until we exited the building. Dare to be different, color outside the lines.

If you’re looking for older multi speed parts check out “patri2k” on eBay. I sourced the recycled pro-class wheelset there.

Trying a different set of bars. They don’t have much rise and a little more spread on the sweep. Virtue 630, 31.8 stem dia.

Thinking I like this setup better, I’ll have to get in some ride time in order to decide. Think I want a smaller chain ring up front.

To my mind, this set up looks better. I didn't like the dropped bar with the high stem stack. It seemed too "waaay up, and then back down again". If that makes any sense.

Yes, still way up but bars are almost level. “Giraffe” neck still there.
These bars were hard to get. Found them on eBay but for some reason the seller had me blocked from buying them and they wouldn’t answer my questions or respond. I’m a long time member, no negative or neutral feedback as seller or buyer...go figure. Then I found them from another seller, paid and never received them and requests/comments went unanswered. Finally filed a case with eBay and got a refund. Then a relative of the seller contacted me saying the seller had passed away and they had forgotten about their eBay listings. Anyway they relisted the bars and I finally got them. This all took around 2.5 months.
The now priceless long sweeps may be keepers.

The current chain ring works OK with the bike but is a little too big in terms of total teeth. I’m going to change it out with a 39T FSA Gimondi, should be more senior friendly.

I changed out the crank and seatpost today.
I added a 39T crank set and an Origin8 laid back seatpost. This required shortening the chain and tweaking the rear derailleur.

The pedaling effort is much improved and the crank will make better use of the rear cassette.
Still have a better thumb shifter to change out, it should improve shifting the 5 rear gears.

Using the clicker, or friction? I'm very interested in downgrading the rapid fire I'm using, those look pretty nice
You can set it either way, index or friction. Using friction at present.

I keep tinkering with this Bamboo frame bike. Added a Maori Tiki mask ornament today. Fabricated a small bracket and attached it to the caliper brake stud. Thought about using it as a headbadge but it would have been hidden from view.
