This may need to be moved to another folder. However I would like to see someone try to make a real version of one of these renderings. These drawings are from around 1938 by the guy who gave us many of the bike designs from the Murray company includeing many of the classic Elgins, Jc higgins, the spaceliner etc. The red one with the tank is basically what became the 1938 worlds fair Mercury bike that made it into production.

However some of the other drawings are wilder designs and were never made.

Personally I would make the red one or the yellow one myself but I don't even have a garage. What I would do is use vintage parts including headshroud, seat, crankset , possibly chainguard etc to make it look if it was actually was a survivor.

Well there's a challenge for anyone who wants to tackle it.

You can really draw lines between those and the elgin twins! I think you could do it, even without a garage. If you do all the hard work (cutting, hand filing), many shops will weld the piece up for you.
