I love the old pictures of bikes. My grandfather rode well into the "40s" to work in Brockton.

1910 with a Pope or Columbia, not sure.

I was 8 years old and my parents bought me a red 24" Sears and my older sister a blue 26" same style. Our first new bikes.

Cool pics. Is that Brockton MA? My wife's from Abbington. I remember my mom buying my pants 2" too long and cuffing them up so I'd get more wear time out of them. The denim was thicker back then also.

Thought I'd add my dad's pic to this thread. This is Dad with my two uncles. Looking at the pic, Dad is on the right with the sideways dark ball cap on his ca.1953 JC Higgins tanker.
