I found this awesome workstand at the dump this morning for $30. Branded "BECON". Heavy cast base, sliding parts/tool tray. Haven't decided if I'll leave it as is or restore. It'll come up a treat with a wire brushing and coat of hammertone. Either way, it'll get plenty of use :D .

that is a very cool score, but....if it was at the dump why did ya have to pay for it?

You paid 30 bucks at the dump for the stand or did you pay 30 to dump at the dump..?

That stand will last forever :)

My local dump has a recycling "store" called "Trendy Trash". If stuff doesn't sell, after a while it ends up in a scrap metal pile. Nearly all my bike frames come from there as well. I'm just glad I could save it from becoming a toaster.

wow. looks to me like it doesn't need anything except some triflow on the moving parts! 8) 8) 8)
