There are so many great bikes, it's hard to chose only 3. My build was not finished in time but these bikes were an inspiration and I will finish it anyway.

Done.

Using le newsletter link "Visit the site this week and vote", then choosing "Vote here", I have the first results, without having to signing in.

Many more than 3 could have gotten votes.
Hopefully most of you are more into the satisfaction of building something you like and enjoyed in spite of a final position. Many different visions, methods of construction, doodad-ifying, lots of great ideas of how to make something work to keep in mind or try. Definitely a highlight to the year having so many builds happening in one place at one time.

what a group to choose from. over the top whacky to smooth long kustom, rat vs paint, girls or guys, heck even two tandems one facing wrong way and a sideby side. thats before you even realy read the threads of what went into making these a reality

I had to laugh at myself today. It's only natural to want more votes than you have, but as I looked again at the huge mass of coolness in the finished gallery, I knew that I couldn't fret if a vote goes to another build.
I am very thankful for any vote that my build received and I have mad respect for all of you guys and gals and your creations! It's been an honor to build along side of you all once again.

Have to agree with King. While I'm pleased to have a vote, the fact that so many awesome bikes only have a couple is testament to just amazing everyone's has gotten. Every vote gotten by the leaders is a vote earned. I'm just as pleased that 2 of the 3 that I voted for are at the top so far, and the third is doing pretty well to boot!

I never build a bike for votes, I build it for me. This year my main objective was to build something light weight, fast, and simple. A beater bike. No derailleur to get bent when I throw it on the bus rack, BMX style bars for an upright and comfortable riding position, and to not spend a dime and just use up what I had laying around. So it turned into a rusting bare metal, single speed, klunk and cruise bike. Hence the name "Krunk Junk".

Yup, there is just so many cool bikes. You gotta build something "you" would want.
While I won't single anyone out, but some of the more popular bikes are ones I don't really "get". Its a matter of a lot of people have different tastes and styles, and mine might be kind of "out there" LOL

That's part of the beauty of the site and the Build Offs. The builders are not restricted to one given style of building! There is something for everyone here!

I actually really like the anything goes lay out. It gives way to full freedom which I'm all for

I like it also. I didn't build this year due to schedule conflicts all summer, but I have been checking out all the cool builds & stealing ideas along the way!

I agree. I didn't take advantage of it and happened to build against the old rules, but I like the freedom that it gave other builders. I can't think of any negative impact upon this years build off. I'm sure that it made life easier for Steve and the Mods, since they didn't have to answer a bunch of "is this allowed" questions.
