WCC front fork length?

Can I use a 26" tire with the tripple tree forks from a WCC bike? It has the same size wheels front and back.

It depends on the length of your frame head tube - the shorter your head tube the more usable length you have to mount a wheel. In the pics below I snagged this WCC for parts and the previous owner had installed a 26" wheel on the front fork. There is still 7" above the wheel and the frame head tube is 7" long. Some of the more modern bikes have very long head tubes which would leave you less clearance when you spread the Triple Tree Brackets to fit. An extreme example would be a Cycle Truck w/ a 26" wheel in the back and a 20" wheel in the front with an extremely long frame head tube. Bottom line - if the frame head tube on which you want to install the TT fork is less than 13" long you can easily use a 26" wheel with a FULL LENGTH WCC Triple Tree Fork.

The tubes on a full length WCC Triple Tree are 29" long. Apparently the tubes in the pic have been cut for length. Now you have to do the math: Subtract the length of a tube in the pic from a factory full length (29") WCC tube, take the difference of the tube lengths and add it to the length of your new frame head tube. If the total is 13" or less a 26" wheel will work, if it's close to that number with in 1 1/2" you might be able to squirm it in using a small tire height and if it's 15" or more there is no way.
