I'm having trouble finding a decent auto darkening welding hood. I've tried one from Harbor Freight, not very good; Eastwood, much better but doesn't seem to work anymore; and this Arc Captain cheapo which doesn't seem to dim very quickly despite the claims

Also seems to flicker and not work very well outside.
Do I need to just get a better quality hood, like the Lincoln? Am I doing something wrong? Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. I'd hate to nuke my eyes using a bad hood.
